Important Guest Notice

Following the Government announcement on 23rd March we realise that our guests will be unable to travel to our cottages for at least the next 3 weeks. Also that many of you, with particular health conditions, will not be able to travel for longer periods.

The safety and health of our guests is our primary concern, along with our responsibilities towards our own employees and of course our own family.

We will be getting in touch with all guests who have bookings within the next few weeks with the options available to them. It is a very busy time for emails and communications so please do be patient. We are currently contacting any guests arriving within the next 3 to 4 weeks at the moment. If you have a relative in your party who has been told not to travel, due to their age or health concerns, please contact us.

We will be closely monitoring any new guidelines and will keep our guests up to date with any changes.

We kindly ask you to check if you have taken out travel insurance as we advise this on our website.

As a small family run business this is going to have a huge impact on us. We do also understand that this is a worrying situation for everyone and we value your support enormously.

Please keep yourselves safe and well and see you soon!

About Us

The Taylor family have worked and lived at Church Farm for over 40 years. Until 2002 the farm operated a working dairy herd of around 100 head of cattle. However, with changes in farming, small farms such as ours found it impossible to remain viable. So in 2002 as a family we made the difficult decision to sell the herd. Over the coming years land was sold, while outside jobs were taken in order to keep the farm.

Eventually, after several years, planning permission was eventually granted for us to develop the stable block and implements store. Spring 2009 saw the completion of the project- and the opening of The Conker Barn -named after a beautiful pair of horse chestnut trees that stand to the left of the barn and Bumble Cottage- named after our lovely 20 year old miniature shetland pony, who spent the last 10 years of his lovely life munching grass in the paddock at the front of the cottages. After spending the first four years with a well known holiday letting company, we found we had so many repeat and word of mouth bookings, that we decided to go it alone.

Our aim is to make sure that you....our guests have a really lovely holiday here at Church farm and one you will always remember.
